Our vision.

Anyone who knows Chris Rovito knows him as a fixer, a fighting force, and the most passionate man you could ever meet. When Lawsyn was diagnosed with FSGS, his world fell apart. This was something he couldn’t “fix” or control. He was devastated and Dani had to be the strong one, although that term is used very loosely. Chris was a pile of mush and he didn’t know how to move forward – this was something he couldn’t “fix.” After a couple months, Chris decided if he couldn’t “fix” Lawsyn, he was going to make a difference for families and children affected by rare kidney diseases. The love and support the Rovitos received from their community fueled them and together, they formed L.C. Renal Alliance, a non-profit organization in Lawsyn’s honor to spearhead the change they want to make and to bridge the gaps the other amazing, known organizations don’t cover in order to further reach where assistance is needed, and further spread education and awareness in their own community about this rare disease of which little is known and there is an incredible opportunity for change. It is their intent to strive for continued collaboration with other organizations with the same goals to ensure the gaps where needs are identified, are met.

Although new, our vision for L.C. Renal Alliance is to provide assistance in various ways as we grow, including but not limited to direct patient grants (already available under "Our Programs" and intended to provide financial assistance in various ways), transportation assistance, scholarships, and more.
